When the "Play Music On Hold" option is selected on a Ring Group, (in this case, set to "Default") the MOH is not played to the calling DAHDI channel unless the "Announcement" option is also set to a valid selection other than "None".
Watching the call progress from the Asterisk CLI, the system indicates that it is playing the MOH into the channel, which suggests that the system is not actually answering the channel.
When "Play Music On Hold" is set to "Default" with "Announcement" set to "None", from the caller's end, they just hear ringing until the call is actually picked up.
When the "Announcement" option is set to a valid recording, the caller hears the announcement playback followed by the selected MOH playback as would be expected.
