      Description

The current EPM BLF Substitution mechanism allows a BLF mapped to a specific extension to be replaced with another extension number.

I would like to assign a key on an Aastra phone to monitor the Follow Me BLF hints that FreePBX already generates so the key will light up when Follow Me is toggled on, and off when Follow Me is off. I would hope to use the key to actually act as the toggle as well but that is a separate issue.

The hints FreePBX generates for Follow Me of the format *21NNN where NNN is the extension number.

It would be excellent to assign a softkey in EPM where EPM will replace NNN with the extension of the user.

There are a number of other types of hints (e.g. do not disturb, time conditions, call forward) which look as if they could also be managed through EPM using this kind of mechanism.

      Thanks,
      Tim Miller Dyck
