      Description

Endpoint Manager now has a much better way to upload custom firmware (thank you!).

      https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/EPM-Custom+Firmware+Management

One issue that I am running into with it, however, is that it is possible to sort of overwrite an existing firmware with a new one, but in a bad way.  If I already have firmware uploaded for a particular phone, and then try to upload a new firmware for that same phone, without first deleting the old one, the actual firmware file gets overwritten, but there is still an entry for it in the GUI.  Then if I delete the entry in the GUI, it deletes the new firmware file that I uploaded.

I don't have a huge preference for how to fix this issue, but one possibility may be to detect the existence of a conflicting firmware and prompt if the user wants to overwrite it with the new one, and then if yes, overwrite the old firmware file and remove the entry from the list.
