      Description

Actual version reported on FreePBX console: 15.0.17.43, not accepted by bug tracker.

After automatic module upgrades (reported to me by Email) the Web GUI crashed with the usual unfriendly screen full of data, the nub of which was lack of access to /var/log/asterisk/freepbx.log.

I found that file had owner root.root and permissions 640. Asterisk and apache2 run as asterisk.asterisk. Mysqld runs as mysql.

The issue was resolved by fwconsole chown / fwconsole restart - the log file and the directory /var/log/asterisk were restored to ownership asterisk.asterisk and the Web GUI works again.

However this should not happen... It should not be necessary to restart FreePBX after an automatic upgrade, nor should an upgrade change file ownerships.
