If you create a static agent in a Queue whose number starts with an asterisk, such as
"*85600" and then save and apply, the entry will disappear from the static agent list in the GUI but will remain in the database and the asterisk configuration files. Because it has disappeared from the static agent list, you won't know that it is still there and active, but it will be.
The only way to remove it is to know that it is there, create a new static agent with the same number but with the leading asterisk ("85600"), save, apply, and then go back and delete it.
I really don't understand the dev team's fixation with allowing entries that can be in the database and affecting Asterisk but not visible to users in the GUI. There is no circumstance where that should be allowed to happen, but I've found three active bugs where FreePBX does just that in the last two months.
