      Description

We've run into a problem with the newer versions of FreePBX Distro (wherever FreePBX 14 is included) where instances running on EC2 lose their IP connectivity after running for an hour or so. Sometimes the system will lose its IPv6 and/or IPv6 address, or sometimes just the default route.

FreePBX 13 systems are not affected.

After many hours of messing around with it, we've found a fix to the problem. It turns out the dhclient-script sets up a preferred_lft and valid_lft on the interface. Removing those options seems to cure the problem, and allows the system to stay online.

Problem is, whenever a system update including the dhclient takes place, our changes are reverted, and the systems start dropping offline after an hour or so again.

I've included a patch file for dhclient-script – if this can be rolled into the actual package I think that would take care of the problem, and prevent systems on EC2 from going offline after the update.
