Call recording of inbound route, to ring group, not honoring extension recording setting

Ring group recording not working how I would logically think it should according to documentation or logic. Here is a scenario: Inbound route recording set to YES. Goes to ring group set to don't care. Ring group has x101 whose recording options in advanced settings set to default/don't care. Ring group has extension 102 whose recording options in advanced settings are set to NEVER for all 4 options. Every call to this ring group is recorded, seemingly ignoring x102's recording options that are set to NEVER. I would think logic would have inbound route set to YES, ring group set to DON'T CARE, then if x101 picks up, recording would be YES, but if x102 picks up, since it has settings on NEVER, then the call should not record. NEVER on the extension should override the inbound route setting of YES.
